The Rehabilitation Institute (TRI) was founded in 1965 by Dr. Edmund Neuhaus and Louise Freidman. Dr. Neuhaus and Mrs. Freidman had a vision that all people, despite their disability, has the ability to work and achieve success with the right tools in place. TRI was the first facility on Long Island to offer vocational rehabilitation services to people with disabilities.
TRI’s mission is to provide career counseling, diagnostic vocational assessments, work readiness skills, on site job training, and job coaching to help the population we serve achieve success. Because of Dr. Neuhaus and Mrs. Freidman’s vision, TRI is still a thriving Licensed Business and Trade School that has helped countless individuals find their true passion and gainful competitive employment. At TRI, we are focused on changing the lives of the individuals we serve to reach a level of productivity, independence and success.
