The fundamentals of desktop publishing are taught using the industry’s leading software: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, QuarkXPress, and Adobe Indesign. Students learn to use the software in both Windows and Macintosh environments. Various desktop publishing projects are completed using these skills in “real-world” simulations. After completion of these projects, an internship is provided at a publishing or printing company where the student will develop further layout skills and get hands-on opportunity in a working environment.
